None. I never thought she was a good actress, and her win for Roman Holiday is undeserved, in my opinion.

She wasn’t nominated for her greatest performance, Robin and Marian (1976)

For me…never a great actress and the only time I have her as a winner
    is 1964 MY FAIR LADY.

    Other nominations
    1953 Roman Holiday
    1954 Sabrina
    1959 The Nuns Story
    1961 Breakfast at Tiffanys
    1967 Wait Until Dark

    no other wins.

I loved her and yet, I’ve always equated her success with her being beautiful and a fresh ingenue.

The Nun’s Story* My favorite perf of hers

    Wait Until Dark

    Robin and Marian

    and probably Sabrina

Would have loved her to receive some accolades for Always, her final film.

Can’t believe that was overlooked – brilliant performance, way ahead of most winners ever in the category.

I can’t believe that some people here don’t recognize her excellence as an actress – she is vastly superior to all but a handful of recipients looking at the totality of her career.

i might be in the minority but as much as i adore Audrey Hepburn
when i see her on screen, I cant seem to wrap my head around the
idea of her as a great actress..In light fare , she is pleasant and appealing
but when drama is the genre, i find her lilting voice very sing along and
static and one note..and she can make me cringe..In the Children’s Hour
and Two for the Road, her costars wipe her off the screen..In the brilliant
Nuns Story, I see a hint of acting where i dont see and hear Miss Hepburn..
A true movie star, a fashionista way ahead of her time, she is sorely missed
in motion pictures for a persona of total originality..i guess you can confuse
that with great acting, but I dont..

All of her nominations are worthy, but I would never rank her above second for any given year.

^^So who should have won over her in 1953?

Agreed. She was such an amazing actress. I’ve never seen Robin and Marian, but in my opinion her greatest performance is The Nun’s Story, which literally took my breath away when I first saw her when I was seven. I remember being totally crushed by her hair being cut and I totally identified with her struggles and later, when I saw her as an adult, I was even more amazed by her. She so, totally should have won. Her Breakfast at Tiffany’s performance is iconic and probably deserved to win for that as well (even though I wouldn’t take away Loren’s win, either). I feel that she should have been nominated for The Children’s Hour as well (of course, she couldn’t be) that year.

I have no disagreement with any of her nominations; all were worthy, save one:  I’d switch the nomination for “Wait Until Dark” in 1967 for a nomination for “Two for the Road”, which was released the same year.  But then the Academy has historically nominated and awarded performances where the character is disabled in some way:  “Scent of a Woman”, “Johnny Belinda”, “Rain Man”, and a host of others.

Oh, and I most certainly woud have given her the Oscar for “The Nun’s Story” over Simone Signoret for “Room at the Top”.
