None. She has talent and a future, but her one nomination was for a film in which she was miscast (seemed too mature and sophisticated for the role.)May 7, 2014 at 1:40 pm #153541
I agree with what Scottferguson said.May 7, 2014 at 1:43 pm #153542
Best Actress nom for An Education. Comparisons to Audrey Hepburn entirely justified.
Best Supporting Actress nom for Shame, a successful against-type role for her.
I found her miscast in Drive and The Great Gatsby (she doesn’t have the right kind of elegance and allure), but enjoyed her shrewishness in Inside Llewyn Davis.May 7, 2014 at 2:37 pm #153543
Best Actress win for ‘An Education’, and a Best Supporting Actress nomination for ‘Shame’ (she’d be my #2 choice). I liked her fine in ‘Drive’, she was aiight in ‘The Great Gatsby’, and I thought she was great in ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’.May 7, 2014 at 2:38 pm #153544
Win for An Education, and another nomination for Shame.May 7, 2014 at 5:47 pm #153545

I like her in an education, not miscast at all, but (not counting other possibilities r the acgtual lineup), I might not have nominated her.
Definitely deserving for Shame, if I remember correctly, I think she was my personal winner.May 7, 2014 at 6:52 pm #153547
She was playing a 21st century character, not a 1960s one. Maybe if the direction had been better, she wouldn’t have seen miscast. She was totally disassociated from the time period in which her character was supposed to be in.May 7, 2014 at 6:52 pm #153548
I liked her cameo in Brothers, and I thought she was more screen friendly than Fassbender in Shame. Since both missed a nomination, well…..May 7, 2014 at 6:59 pm #153549
One nomination: Drive. Not win worthy, but a good performance in an under-recognized film.

I have nothing against her work but in Drive, I didnt believe for one second that she was married to the wonderful Oscar Isaac. If she is miscast, this is it. I had less trouble believing her in An Education, and I didnt buy her in that either. (I think it might have something to do with raising teenagers and working with her supposed age group, LOL!)May 8, 2014 at 4:04 am #153551
she’s too young and only has one oscar nom to her name, wh ydo you even bother to make this thread?May 8, 2014 at 4:09 am #153552
LMAO, are you gonna start threads for every single actress? This is exhausting, can’t you do it in another forum section? I don’t know, like “Games”???
