I listened to it last evening. You two certainly have a great interplay. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with following the conventional wisdom with the Oscar predictions. God knows the Academy tends to be more predictible than not every year. This year we at least have some intrigue in the Picture, Actress, Director, and Supporting Actor (plus some down ballot categories). But each category only has only two or three actual contenders. The only real risks I am taking in my predictions is in Adapted Screenplay where I have Argo topping Kushner’s Lincoln and Original Screenplay where I have Amour beating ZDT. I’m hoping for an upset in the Supporting Actor category with Hoffman winning, but I’d imagine one of the dour old men (i.e. Arkin or Jones) will win.
