Disney announced a fifth film coming up in 2019 starring Harrison Ford and directed by Steven Spielberg. After the mixed reception for the fourth film a few years ago, what are your hopes for this next one?

I think if they stay grounded with history with maybe one slight mythical element that isn’t as over the top as aliens, it’ll do better. Oh and a better cinematographer. That last movie was not shot very well although I like it way more than most do.

At this point, this movie should be Indiana Jones’s journey to the retirement home.

I’m curious to see if Shia LaBeouf will be involved and if they will try and hand off the franchise to him which is kinda what I think they were trying to do with the last film. Not sure why so many people hate it though. Is it as good as the previous installments? Not really. But it was still an awesome flick.

The best reviews and well wishes for the perennial Harrison/Indiana/Solo Ford. That’s what I’m hoping for. It certainly has the pedigree and players.

I think the biggest problem I had with Crystal Skull (I didn’t hate the film but it is easily the worst of the four) was the focus on his personal life and family problems. It felt like they’d written it with the assumption they were going to get Sean Connery back, then when he refused to come out of retirement, they just made a quick script edit to take out his part.

For the new one, I would love for them to take a Temple of Doom format. Start with him out in the jungle/desert/island somewhere, searching for an artifact (as usual) with a sidekick (doesn’t have to be Shia) and just having a complete adventure in that location where he succeeds at the end and leaves. I don’t necessarily need the world hopping plane on the map hitting every continent and meeting all sorts of bad guys adventure. We got that last time. Let’s keep it simple and just make it great.

In a symbolic gesture against “Crystal Skull,” have Shia LaBeouf make a cameo in the opening scene, in which he’s eaten alive by rattlesnakes.

Couldn’t agree more. Yeah, this has to wind up as a stupider, less star-studded, and infinitely more embarrassing than usual Expendables movie AT BEST. He’ll be 77 when it comes out. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was enough already, ignoring the 4th one won’t do anything, for better or worse, seeing as how it doens’t get rid of the movie’s biggest problem, being that Harrison Ford is TOO RIDICULOUSLY O.L.D. TO PLAY AN ACTION HERO ANYMORE!!!! Seriously Disney, I know you’re greedier and more pathetic than most major Hollywood studios, but even I’m shocked you’re this dumb. And Spielberg……. “Sigh” I’d much rather even see a sequel to Minority Report, with still viable and arguably in his prime Tom Cruise as the star, than another Harrison Ford starring action/adventure movie. Imagine the Frozen song “Let it Go”, only with these lyrics, “Let it Die, Let it Die.” Or even a frikkin Shia Labeouf (no apologies if name is misspelled) aka Mutt Williams continuation would be more DIGNIFIED. LOLOL @@ :O ;P

I think the next plot for the next Indiana Jones should be about indiana jones trying to recover the Spear of Destiny. The Spear of Destiny was the spear that was used to pierce the body of Jesus to comfirm that he was dead. legion has said that the soldiers that stabed Jesus was partly blind and when he stab jesus some of his blod got into his eyes and the soldiers blindness was cured. The Indiana Jones movies were always the best when he was after a religious artifacts. like he was in Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. The guys should again be the Soviets. This is my take on the plot of the next movie. Indiana Jones in a race against the Soviets to get the Spear of Destiny.
