With the negative publicity lately about Kristen Stewart cheating on Robert Pattinson with the married director of Snow White and the Huntsman, and the fact that she has been nominated at the Razzies the last three years for her work in the Twilight movies, I think that Kristen Stewart is easily the frontrunner to take home the Worst Actress prize at the next Razzies for Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 and Snow White and the Huntsman. Quite often the Razzies will nominate actors for multiple roles if they released several movies that year.
And while I enjoyed Snow White and the Huntsman, the fact that her affair is directly tied with the director of that film, I think Rupert Sanders could easily be nominated for Worst Director, even though I thought he had great direction.
Any thoughts?July 26, 2012 at 10:16 am #65397
Any thoughts? Only this: The mental image of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart actually boinking made me throw up a little in my mouth.July 26, 2012 at 11:32 am #65398
Wait a sec, Kristen and Robert are a mated pair?
If affairs influenced Razzie voters (wait, Sandra Bullock, Oscar……gach) then we’d all need a trillion gazillion nominees, would we not?
Besides, Kristen wasnt so bad in Huntsman; although, next to Charlize, many would compare unfavorably. I really dont wish to mention that other film. I’m not going to vote for her in any event.
And why confess to the media? Am I suppose to care? Does this make her a freak? Am I suppose to watch that particular reporting network?
Btw, I notice that Kristen’s name is in this thread but not her equally culpable partner. Fairly typical, this is.July 26, 2012 at 1:45 pm #65399
Whatever the reason, she and the film itself don’t deserve a Razzie nom, but I can definitely see her geting nominated and ultimately winning it.July 26, 2012 at 1:48 pm #65400
Apparently Robert has packed his bags and is moving out.July 26, 2012 at 3:41 pm #65401
poor kristen…July 26, 2012 at 5:06 pm #65403
Ya I wondered about that, but, whatever.July 26, 2012 at 5:16 pm #65404
What a slut.
She’s a terrible actress. Idk why people give her so much credit.July 26, 2012 at 5:29 pm #65405
I think it has something to do with this, and her films:

That’s because Rupert Sanders didn’t direct Razzie bait Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, and Snow White and the Huntsman was never getting Razzie “buzz.” While a Razzie nomination for Rupert Sanders is possible, he isn’t guaranteed a nomination, nor would he necessarily be considered a frontrunner for the “win.” Snow White and the Huntsman was far from one of the worst films or one of the worst-directed films of the year. This was not on anyone’s radar for a Worst Director nomination. However, before this affair was announced, I’m sure most of us assumed that Kristen Stewart was going to get nominated for Worst Actress at the Razzies. This publicity I think puts her in frontrunner position for that prize.July 26, 2012 at 5:39 pm #65407
Thanks Daniel, but er, my point is that it’s almost always the woman who takes the grief. I think, believing in equal opportunity, Rupert’s name should be right up there with Kristen.
And he’s married, is he not? I feel very badly for his wife, who doesnt need this further humiliation. I also find it astonishing that something like this can grab public attention; but that’s a recurring theme.
And no, I dont think this places her in front runner contention. People appear to have very short memories, and afterall, to quote that OTHER winner, it aint got nothing to do with the politics.
*ETA Steve Pond has already written an article about this, and how it may or may not derail their careers.July 26, 2012 at 6:38 pm #65408

I would not call her a “slut,” which is a misogynistic word that has no corresponding term for a promiscuous male. Why should women be denounced for sleeping around but not men?
The problem here, as I see it, is sleeping with the “boss,” which, other than making a person look tacky and vulgar, exposes that person to accusations of being a “whore,” i.e., getting paid for sex (or promotion).July 26, 2012 at 7:01 pm #65409
Oops I mean shes a whore. And Rupert Sanders is a douchebag for cheating on his wife.July 26, 2012 at 7:07 pm #65410
I know plenty of male sluts. Just sayin’, I think it’s an equal opportunity word that just happens to get used for women more than guys. And as bad as that was for Stewart, I think it was worse for Sanders. He’s the one who was married with a family… He should be getting the most heat here.
