Is Sarah Silverman in “I Smile Back” the next Jennifer Aniston for Cake?”

I am really interested in seeing what everyone thinks of Sarah Silverman’s SAG nomination this morning. I was extremely shocked that neith Jennifer Lawrence for “Joy” or Lily Tomlin for “Grandma” were not nominated. I honestly feel Sarah Silverman is this year’s Jennifer Aniston.

    Similarities between the two:

    – Both Actresses are known for there Comedic roles.

    – Both Actresses made a name for themselves on Television. They both on Emmy Awards for there Television Work.

    – Both starred in Independent Films that show there more dramatic side.

    – Both Actresses consider there projects (I Smile Back and Cake) passion projects that they really loved making

    – Both recieved acclaim for there performances in their repsective films, but at first were shut out by early award shows such as; Independent Spirit, Gotham Awards, and Satellite Awards.

    – Both recieved suprising SAG nominations with no one really expecting them to get nominated.

    – Both “I Smile Back” and Cake recieved more mixed notices but performances of the stars were praised.

    – Rotten Tomatoes Scores: Cake (49%)  ///  I Smile Back (54%)

Note: Remember how Jennifer Aniston seem to have all her ducks in a row for an Oscar nomination but was snubbed. She was nominated at SAG, GG, and CC but not at the Oscars.

Unlike Anniston, she probably won’t get a Globe nod. The category is crowded with Mara and Vikander. The Critics’ Choice is such a reactionary award and I could see her making it into their final six but with so much talk of Mara/Vikander, I guess they’ll be in lead there.
