This is a forum to discuss whether Jon Hamm is capable of joining the elite club known as the “Oscar Nominees.”
Lately, it seems that he may be one or two roles away from receiving his first nomination. Next year, he may well be a contender for Best Actor for Beirut if the film manages to hold out against competition for the entire year. If films like Get Out, Dunkirk, and Darkest Hour can do it, so can Beirut.
What do you think?February 20, 2018 at 7:44 am #1202497420
Lol he won’t be nominated for BeirutFebruary 20, 2018 at 8:38 am #1202497460

the dude from Bridesmaids?February 20, 2018 at 9:56 am #1202497487
the dude from Bridesmaids?
He’s a lot more than just “the dude from Bridesmaids.” He was also the star of Mad Men. That show alone earned him six Golden Globe nominations and two wins, along with eight Emmy nominations plus one win.
Mad Men was cancelled in 2015, so now Hamm’s slowly transitioning into films. His most notable post-Mad Men role was as Buddy, the main antagonist of Baby Driver. Hamm’s certainly a force to be reckoned with.February 20, 2018 at 10:50 am #1202497532
He will get nominated at least once in the next 10 years.February 20, 2018 at 12:04 pm #1202497573
He’s my personal nominee for best bulge in the biz. Seriously though doesn’t he know about existence of underwear?February 20, 2018 at 12:09 pm #1202497579
He needs to build up a repertoire of film roles to make the transition before he becomes an Oscar nominee. Oscar bait would help, too.February 20, 2018 at 12:15 pm #1202497584

You just won the Internet for the day. ????
Apparently emojis don’t work on this site. That “????” was supposed to be a laughing face.February 20, 2018 at 8:14 pm #1202497838
If he actually starts acting in more Oscar-worthy films, but he seems to gravitate towards more blockbuster-type projects.
