    Out of the four other nominees that didn’t win, who do you think gave the best performance? For the nominees just go to Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the full lists. Here are mine for Best Supporting Actress:

    There are very few and rare nominees who’s work I haven’t seen – some of the very early nominees from the 1920’s and 1930 are apparently lost films ): I haven’t seen Gladys George in Valiant Is the Word For Carrie (I doubt anyone has, it seems to be a missing film). I have seen a few scenes from two 1951 films that are stuck in litigation: The blue Veil and Death Of a Salesman, so I haven’t seen the complete 5 performances that were nominated from those two films (oddly there are a few scenes available from each of them and I have seen them). I saw almost all of Elisabeth Berner’s nomination (Escape Me Never, 1935) but oddly the last few minutes is missing! (;

    I found it really interesting reading all of your lists! it kind of shows why awards are just an opinion and not really all that important – but they are fun! Esp. when your favorites win! There are only a few times when the actual winner has been my first choice. Thanks for playing! (:
