2011 was a stronger year for supporting actresses than some may think. There were some terrific performances from that year. It’s just they kind of flew under the radar. But thankfully we get to create some justice for those unsung performances. My pick would be Carey Mulligan for Shame. Even for her rendition of “New York, New York” alone. But how about you guys?

Shailene Woodley, she should had been nominated instead of Janet McTeer or Berenice Bejo.

    I had

    1. McCarhy, Bridesmaids
    2. Chastain, The Help
    3. Bryne, Bridesmaids (My poll choice)
    4. Smith Cameron (Margaret)
    5. Fanning (Super 8)

Bejo is lead, Spencer and McTeer are unremarkable.

Vanessa Redgrave in Coriolanus. Surely one of the greatest Shakespeare film performances.

Also Sareh Bayat and Sarina Farhadi are both superb in A Separation, as is the whole cast of that film.
