And still should have lost the Oscar to Chastain or Riva.

Anyone who’s voting for ‘supporting’ should explain that if Lawrence is supporting, what is Weaver in “Silver Linings Playbook”? And nah. Weaver has plenty of scenes so she’s not a cameo. She’s just a secondary character. A typicial “supporting presence” in the movie.

Lawrence was the best that year and I’m happy she won.

    Both can be supporting.

Against Weaver’s nomination and Lawrence’s win.

I agree that she’s lead, but I’m still pissed she won. I’m a HUGE fan of hers and she’s one of my favorite actresses, but she wasn’t the best that year. I’m all about Chastain, ’bout Chastain. No Lawrence.

    My personal lineup was…

    1. Jennifer Lawrence in “Silver Linings Playbook and “The Hunger Games”
    2. Jessica Chastain in “Zero Dark Thirty”
    3. Kara Hayward in “Moonrise Kingdom”
    4. Michelle Williams in “Take This Waltz”
    5. Ann Dowd in “Compliance”

I was very 50-50% on Lawrence and Chastain. In the end I went with the character. I think Tiffany (and Katniss) are a bit more developed and original than Maya. I would’ve love to see Chastain’s winning because it would’ve mean zero Oscars for undeserving Nyong’o, but I think the right one won that year.

About that category. I really loved Watts. But I’m really not sure about her category placement. I disliked Wallis a lot, because although it was a nice performance, it was far away from being awards-worthy and people on my list, also Marion Cotillard were snubbed because of her. Emmanuelle Riva’s case is a funny thing. People were all over about her, but not me. I think her co-parter was way better. Emmanuelle was good playing herself (I mean, old woman, suffering disase, it’s not that hard to play when you are old woman, probably suffering of some kind of disase), but she was nowhere near close Lawrence or Chastain.
