Is anyone able to explain this? I mean, he was crazy good in “Spectacular now” and the phenomenom “Whiplash”. Ok , some might say the final act of Spectacular now was dragged a bit, no movie is perfect, most movies that aren’t very good is because of the ending. I don’t have complaints about Whiplash, but for me it was a more physical performance , he portrayed his character in “TSNow” with brilliance, the same could be said about Shailene Woodley.
I get it, oscar was a long shot, but really, not even a golden globe nomination for him for none of those two films?? I just don’t get it. Anyone does?

I still haven’t seen SELMA but to nominate Brad Cooper for playing a killer instead of David Oweloyo for playing MLK was pretty disgusting.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Ralph Fiennes were way better and they were the one really snubbed, not Teller. And I have hard time believing that Miles Teller gave a better performance than Edwart Norton….like come on!

It’s a little easier for actresses like Mulligan in An Education or Lawrence in Winter’s Bone to get actress nominations but those were also the only nominations for those movies. I’m not really sure why.

While we are at it, what about Woodley coming from a totally different acclaimed performance in “The Descendants”?? to this one, how come voters do not see that, I don’t get it. This is why I want Brie Larson to take oscar gold home this year, not because she was better than my favorite , which is Vikander, just because, it is just justice, she was very good here too, and what she did in “Short term 12″….

The actors in both films are “ok”, including JK’s sweeping win. Hey guess what voters; JK can do screaming spit-flying drama…The SNow, received the most Razzie write-ins from moi, however…..what a freaking crock that movie is.
