OFFICIAL TRAILER played before Atomic Blonde:
Jen: What brings you to us?
Ed?: They told me I could find a room here.
Javier:He thought we were a bed and breakfast.,
Jen: He’s a stranger. We’re just gonna let him sleep in our house?
Jen:Can I help you?
Ed: Ah you made it.
Jen: Did you know he had a wife?
Jen:He didn’t just stumble on us. He has pictures of you in his luggage.
Javier:What were you doing in their luggage?
Jen: All these people, who are they?
Javier:They’ve come here to see me.
Jen: (panicked) Come quick!
Michelle: God help you.
Javier:All I’m trying to do is bring life in to this house! (Yelling)
Jen:You’re insane (panicked)
Jen:MURDERER! MURDERER! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! GET OUT!
And then it all ends with an image of Jen’s eyes. Her hair looks a bit darker, so not sure she’s sporting a blonde look in this one.July 28, 2017 at 8:18 am #1202167683
Official trailer will be released everywhere on August 3, 2017.July 28, 2017 at 8:25 am #1202167690
I’ll totally support Lawrence now that she’s shaken free from Crazy O. Russell AND if she can deliver a true Aronofsky performance here.July 28, 2017 at 4:37 pm #1202168137
We haven’t even seen any footage of the movie and it already looks like it’s going to be great.July 28, 2017 at 5:03 pm #1202168162
Amigos, Jennifer Lawrence isn’t winning a second statuette. Kirsten Dunst is beating her.July 28, 2017 at 7:20 pm #1202168248

Russell directed her to an Oscar and three nominations. Her best nominated performance is Joy. Not of fan of hers at all but doubt Darren got something special out of her O Russell couldn’t.July 28, 2017 at 7:26 pm #1202168257
I’m rooting for Kathryn Hahn to win the Oscar over Larence, Dunst, Benning, Streep, and everybody else. Watch out for Private Life.July 28, 2017 at 7:28 pm #1202168260
I’ll be stanning for Lawrence all year, but I’ll be a much more realistic stan. Her chances of winning are really quite small. She probably wasn’t that close to beating Lupita.July 28, 2017 at 7:38 pm #1202168269

It was shocking to me how indifferent precursors were to 12 Years. Lupita should have swept the season. I don’t believe Lawrence is a threat for a win but I don’t doubt she’s competitive for the nomination.July 28, 2017 at 7:57 pm #1202168304

Yeah, I’d agree with Joy being her best, but from O. Russell, with her ultimate career-best performance being Winter’s Bone. I don’t know – she got really lazy under his basic direction and I think Aronofsky has become a master at pushing actors into their fullest potential. Could very well be the case here.July 28, 2017 at 8:18 pm #1202168345

Huh. I never considered that anybody would think Joy was her best performance with O’Russell (I think it’s universally agreed that she was best in Winter’s Bone though). I felt like in Joy she couldn’t get away with the central conceit O’Russell was trying to sell in all three movies: that she was just too young for the role. She got away with it the most in Silver Linings Playbook because those diner/outside-diner scenes were so electric and mature (that’s why I don’t totally mind her winning that year–those scenes made me go daaammmnn), but I didn’t buy it at all in Joy and American Hustle :/
Anyway, I’m hoping she delivers here too. I actually kind of feel bad for her, she’s been over-sold so much that anything short of a young Meryl Streep performance feels overrated (and I don’t think she’s a young Meryl Streep, but she could still be amazing over time)
