Current list of films I’ve seen: (updated as of May)

A hilariously Shadowy look at What comedians do in New Zealand with a mockumentary
The King of all Bond homages, the Firth good action movie of the year
The small bear from my childhood books comes to life in a fast-paced film with little padding.
The second best movie about senior citizens in an Indian hotel.
South African rappers try to act, and a robot steals the show
A shoe-in for Cheesiest movie of the year, courtesy of Disney
Another step in the descent of the Wachowskis career
The Clouds lift on the stigma of Kristen Stewart’s Twilight years.
    Skyp-o killer… Qu’est-ce que c’est? fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-far better than I was expecting.
Going too Fast with the plot makes me Furious, but an emotional ending makes you want to See it Again.
The Max-imum amount of Furyously paced action that you can fit into 2 hours
A Ruff time for Scarlett Witches, a sequel that was totally Downerville.
Tom Hardy’s other Maddening film, though it was Far from having the same plot.
An Ex-ample of good Sci-fi, with a very Machinavellian Oscar Isaac.
A Screenplay with more faulty lines than California proves that even a Rock can crack under pressure.
Stiller crazy after all these years, a mistake in not letting an upcoming Young actor into the Driver’s seat.

As of now, I have only seen Tlaken 3. The franchise is fun and just Neeson kicking ass every time but even I have to say that this one was 10x better than the 2nd one. So it ends on a high.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron- B- While it tried setting up future movies too much, I had a fun time watching it. Vision was the highlight. The extended cut may change my score.

Furious 7- C+ Another fun entry into the franchise but nowhere near as good as the last three. The last act in particular dragged down the movie.

Inside Out- A+ One of the best Pixar has ever done. There won’t be a movie as creative as this for a long time.

Jurassic World- B- A fun summer popcorn flick, nothing more or less. The subplots were unecesary.

    ADDED:

Maps to the Stars – A-

David Cronenberg makes a film for Bruce Wagner’s dynamic screenplay letting the words take over the film featuring some brillant work by Mia Wasikowska, Sarah Gadon, Evan Bird and especially Julianne Moore who deservedly won Cannes best actress playing the most unlikeable and deplorable women ever to grace the screen.

    ’71 – B-

Jack O’Connell follows his great 2014 with ’71 yet another great performance by him a film that tracks the Belfest tention quite well in a mix of explosive and slow moments that equally give this story the greatness it deserves.

    Paddington – B

Probably the most surprising film of the year coming from an awful trailer which falsely represented this charming film about Paddington showing once again that an actress like Nicole Kidman can give a great comedic turn if it is clear as actress she is having fun as this evil women through and through. Also Hugh Bonneville, Ben Whishaw and Sally Hawkins also make this a great family fun story for this year.

    Ex Machina – B

Alex Garland after writing great films like Dredd and 28 Days Later… finally directs his first film and presenting this cold story of our relationship with technology is one of the year’s most fasinating films where the slow pace is an advantage to this story. Alicia Vikander, Oscar Isaac and Domnall Gleason star giving stellar performances adding interesting layers to this film.

    Testamanet of Youth – C+

Yet another british film about war featuring Swedish actres Alicia Vikander as a englsh rose giving yet another great performance following Ex Machina. The story try’s to tell a lot of suffers from this but with a good ensemble of capable english actors this film is worthy of a watch even if it is cookie cutter british bioipic material.

Those long, corridor fight scenes and Statham’s rather droll delivery were both something rather different. I liked it too.
