My friend once told me his reasoning for not enjoying the Marvel Cinematic Universe as much as the next person. To him, there is no sense of peril because each of the characters are going to be fine and will appear again in whatever future movie it will be, whether it is Avengers 100 million or whatever. This is why he was not able to enjoy a lot of stuff from the MCU, outside of Guardians of the Galaxy. To be honest, I do see where is coming from.
I thought I’d share this with you and give your thoughts on this sentiment.
I love the MCU, especially my all time favorite movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, but if one of the main avengers does not die in Infinity war (Thor, Black Widow, Iron man, Hulk or Captain America), I will be pissed. Vision, Scarlet with, Agent Hill, Nick Fury and Hawkeye do not count.
Also, if GotG gets a BP nom at next years oscars, I will be the happiest person ever. It deserves every nomination and it’s terrible it was looked over because it was a superhero film.
I wasn’t much fan of MCU until CA: The Winter Soldier, that IMO is the best of all the franchise movies. I think, in general, the MCU is a fun entertainment, theses movies that you watch with your friends and family just for pass time, not demanding some kind of reflections and discussions that another kind of movies cause on us.
And for the main characters who could/will die, i think in the next Avengers movie we will say goodbye to Thor or Iron Man. Maybe Cap, but if he dies, they will bring him back with one of the Infinty Stones. And Vision will die for sure.
I am excited for Black Panther!!!
Black Panther is going to be amazing. They took every good blackactor for that movie it will be legendary. Creed was my second favorite movie of 2015 and I thought it was criminally overlooked. Coogler deserved two oscar noms for Creed IMO. I would die of happiness if he got a nom for Black Panther.
