With Jackie coming out tomorrow in limited release, Rotten Tomatoes has decided to highlight Natalie Portman’s 10 highest rated films on their site. Here they are:
1. Black Swan—87%
2. Garden State—86%
4. Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge Of The Sith—79%
5. Beautiful Girls—79%
7. V For Vendetta—73%
8. Leon: The Professional—71%
10. Anywhere But Here—64%
LMAO @ Black Swan and Garden State being considered better films than Heat. RT is a joke.
Personally, I like RT. Not because they’re an academic whiz bang the way MC is apparently, but because what audiences think of a film is MORE important to me that what professional critics think; although, they are the true precursors to leading the (sheep) way for the Awards Circuit. Lol. (No, I don’t dislike ALL of them).
Where’s Brothers I wonder? Not a great film, but Natalie is very good.
And while we’re at it, where’s Your Highness and The Other Boleyn Girl?
Black Swan is Aronofsky’s film. He was my pick for Director.
Portman’s win appears fairly popular but she wasn’t my choice that year, lispy baby-talk and all.
In reflection, my favorite Natalie role is as queen Amidala. But I think she’s at her best as the super-serious Evey in V for Vendetta.
I never thought her performance came across as “lipsy baby talk.”
