Her remarks were intended to keep the peace. But Trump is trash and everyone connected to his administration will make the lives of the poor, different, and our neighbors abroad horrible with shit policy and total lack of diplomacy.
I don’t believe her fourth Oscar nomination is threatened because voters have likely defaulted her in the category. But until she renounces this man I think she’ll have trouble going forward with awards bodies. She has a limited series for HBO coming and two major art house movies coming for another round of Oscar attention. I hope gets in front of this soon. Because after Streep’s speech she looks so dumb in comparison.January 13, 2017 at 9:31 am #1201987149
She and her husband always seem like such an alienated couple every time I see them on red carpets.January 13, 2017 at 10:14 am #1201987168

That would be nice.
I’d think Nicole’s prodigious talent has/will get her through most any difficult situation.
ETA: Thanks for the link. I think Nicole is realistic and correct and will get more fans as a result of her comments. The Huffington Post is trashJanuary 13, 2017 at 10:52 am #1201987202
Wow she said we should accept the democratically decided election and hope our president does well. How that is “controversial” is beyond meJanuary 13, 2017 at 11:03 am #1201987210

This will blow over. Seems to me exactly what Obama and Clinton’s been saying since he’s been elected…January 13, 2017 at 11:31 am #1201987223
This won’t do a thing to Kidman’s future awards prospects. Clint Eastwood, Jon Voight, Kelsey Grammer, Patricia Heaton and James Woods, among others, have long been staunch Hollywood conservatives with plenty of awards recognition.

She’s not over. Trumpies and republicans tried to come for Meryl and they’ve failed so far since the majority support her. Neither of them are like Jane Fonda, who still has people against her for that Vietnam incident and calling her a traitor.
