I’m close to predicting Bradley Cooper. I might also drop Felicity Jones. I change my mind on her every other day. Decisions, decisions.

That wouldn’t be much of a surprise. It’s the most likely nominee in both categories.

Imitation Game to miss editing and director. Both Damien Chazelle and Dan Gilroy for director. Ellar Coltrane for Boyhood.

    Those are very tempting.

Well, I’ve been hearing grumblings, most of which from my best friend, who says that Interstellar’s sound effects were awful because he couldn’t hear what was being said in the movie half of the time, even though on paper it seemed like it would be.

Inherent Vice overperforms – thinking: Supporting Actor, Actor, Cinematography, Production Design, Costume Design, Adapted Screenplay (getting three of those is overperforming to me)

I’m predicting Kristen Stewart in Still Alice. Am I confident about it? No. Do I even think she necessarily deserves the 5th spot? No probably not. But I just know that chances are there is going to be someone who got no nominations from any of the televised awards and I feel like she fits the mold. I see her being like a Maggie Gyllenhaal in Crazy Heart, someone who was talked about a bit but never really got any traction but then get’s pulled in with her frontrunner co-star (I know they’re not exactly the same). And I feel like that person usually gets in when there’s 4 solid contenders and then a few people roaming around for that last spot, which applies to supporting actress.
