What a wonderful films she created! How beautifully she collaborated with Meryl Streep, Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. I remember her sitting next to Streep at the Golden Globes when “Julie & Julia” was around. She looked so young and fresh and I can’t believe she was 71 this year and that it was her last movie. She connected touching parts with entertainment which seemed to be easy but by the work of the others you know it never is. Really sad news, R.I.P. and thank you.June 27, 2012 at 6:46 am #63689

Very sad and surprising. While her movies were hit and miss, Sleepless in Seattle will always hold a special place for me.
More than her films, I loved her books. In particular, “I Feel Bad About My Neck” was very, very funny. I recommend the audiobook, which Ephron read.June 27, 2012 at 7:11 am #63691
Here’s a great short piece that Nora Ephron wrote for The New Yorker based on “The Girl WIth the Dragon Tattoo.”
