    An uneventful list of nominees in my opinion.

    7:09 p.m.: Hate everything. It’s like the Oscars didn’t even predict anything as best in film for 2013. (Just kidding)

    7:32 a.m.: Liked: The Grandmaster in Cinematography, Leo and Martin Scorsese in for Wolf of Wall Street, American Hustle in all four acting categories, Her for Original Score and Production Design,

    Disliked: No Pacific Rim (Boo-urns!), No Stories We Tell or Blackfish, No Llewyn Davis for Picture or Screenplay, No 12 Years a Slave for Original Score, No “Young & Beautiful”

    Surprises: Jonah Hill in for a Second Time, The Lone Ranger in Twice, a Jackass film is Oscar nominated.

    There’s almost no point in reserving a spot. The site will probably crash after Best Actor is revealed and we all attempt to comment after Leo does/doesn’t make it into the line-up.

    Or if Meryl gets snubbed…

    I think I’m at the point where I’m done editing my predictions, but then I’ll start thinking and have to go back to the predix center. This is tough.

    5 BIGGEST WANTS TOMORROW MORNING:

    1. Leonardo DiCaprio makes the Best Actor lineup
    2. Meryl Streep makes the Best Actress lineup
    3. Sally Hawkins is remembered in Supporting Actress
    4. Dallas Buyers Club makes Original Screenplay
    5. Robert Redford/and or Forest Whitaker make Best Actor (even though I am not predicting them)

    My Plan of Action:

    1. Watch morning annoucements
    2. Go to Grocery Store RIGHT after- get bagels, cream cheese, danish and juice
    3. Come back, gorge on good food, blog and react, and pass out by Noon

    Good luck everyone!!!! Despite our past tiffs here and there, you know I love you Goldderby!!

    Please and thanks:
    -12 years lands the most nominations
    – Robert Redford is nominated in best actor for his towering behavioral performance
    – Roger Deakins is nominated for his deceptively great work in Prisoners and maybe just maybe Prisoners gets a surprise acting nomination

    RESERVED. A few things I want to have happen:

    * DiCaprio gets into Actor
    * Scorsese gets into Director
    * Jonze gets both Screenplay/Director
    * Blackfish for Documentary
    * An acting nomination that throws this whole precursor system out the window

    I thought Scorsese is a done deal to get into director anyway?
