I don’t even know what to make of this one. I oddly like it but just know that it’s probably going to not do well at the box office.
This will either be really good or horrible.
I read this novel a long time ago and I recall that the read was both entertaining and informative.
I like his (Koepp’s) writing and think he’s a director with potential. The film could be quite the hoot. Hope so. Depp can use a hit.
Yeah it’s hard to tell from this trailer. I was not expecting this to be a comedy. We’ll see. I want Johnny Depp to be in a great movie again so badly. LOL.
I dont know about the movie, but it seems like fine performance from Depp. And it seems different than what he was doing recently so im looking forward to this.
ah, this looks awful, but I god damn hope I’m wrong .
I really liked this trailer and for some reason February of 2015 has to me some really interesting stuff.
I’m surprised by the internet’s predominantly negative reaction to this trailer. I think the film looks good, not a masterpiece but probably the best film Depp’s had in years. The only weak point is obviously Gwyneth Paltrow. Depp appears to be channeling Peter Sellers, and it appears to be working. With this and “Black Mass” coming out, 2015 could be his year.
Just imagine how different the reactions would be if this exact same trailer dropped but it was directed by Wes Anderson.
Yeah, this does look like Depp compensating for missing out on Grand Budapest Hotel, which is fine by me. The film looked cute enough. I’ve generally gotten moderate enjoyment out of Koepp’s previous work, including Ghost Town. Premium Rush got a positive reaction, too, so he seems to be doing well for himself.
What intrigues me about this is that Depp seems so dour and uninterested in his films – like a sad hipster. Its interesting to see him have such a comedic role, and its good because his best work has been playing these eccentric weirdos in comedies (Ed Wood, Jack Sparrow)
