Two weeks from today, the 42nd annual San Diego Comic-Con commences, and movies will be represented a little bit more, hopefully, than they were last year.  Watch this space for updates on what happens on what day (July 12-15).  Remember, all times are Pacific Daylight, and unless otherwise specifically posted, all movie panels occur in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center:

    Thursday, July 12:

    10:15-11:15 TheOneRing.net: The Truth
About The Hobbit— The Hobbit movie is imminent just at the book
turns 75. With on-set visits, intrepid reporting, and the pulse of
fans worldwide, the TORn staff shred rumors, answer questions, share
New Zealand images-but not as part of the official publicity machine.
Also featuring a special visual presentation from Weta Workshop.

Very “Expendable(s)” indeed. Where’s Jason Statham?

Saturday will be the final day of the movie panels as none take place Sunday, just like last year.  Only TV panels will be in Hall H on Sunday, July 15.

According to Deadline, Paramount and Universal are adopting a move along, nothing to see here attitude with the convention.  With the latter, I’d understand, considering the abortion that was Battleshit.  No Fox, either.

There’s some question as to whether Tarantino will be on hand Saturday for the Django Unchained panel; conflicting reports say he’s either still on, or has pulled out for reasons unknown.
