The first teaser trailer for ‘The Program’ is out and it looks great. Ben Foster’s first Oscar nom? Definitely add him to the contenders list. Trailer here: http://youtu.be/hMTPvXtvkZU

Ooh. That’s probably my favorite teaser/trailer/whatever of the year. I didn’t know they dropped the Icon title.

I’ll have to add Ben Foster to my predictions. Oh no. Best Actor is stacked.

Frears finished this film a long time ago and moved on to his next project. Not a good sign that it still hasn’t been released.

“The Program” is a terrible title. The old one “Icon” was catchier.

The distribution might be a problem in the US: neither Chris O’Dowd or Ben Foster has any box office pull and the subject of Lance Armstrong is probably one Americans would rather forget. There was also an excellent documentary “The Armstrong Lie” out recently.

I’m fairly certain there’s a Lance Armstrong thread already. I certainly recall commenting on both Armstrong, and the film.

Yeah the best actor race is very competitive this year but Redmayne will sweep all the awards for The Danish Girl.

    my predictions

    1. Redmayne, The Danish Girl

    2. DiCaprio, The Revenant

    3. Fassbender, Steve Jobs

    4. Gyllenhaal, Southpaw

    5. Foster, The Program

    6. Depp, Black Mass

    7. Hanks, Bridge of Spies

Or he’ll sing “I’m Not Jessica Chastain” in his bathroom when he’s not even nominated. Who knows.

Foster might get me into the theatre. I think overall that he’s a terrific actor to watch.

Why do we insist on making films about such, assholes? Jobs, Zuckerberg, this asshole, that asshole; not especially a bright spot for the history books,

I know watching this will really really really piss me off; especially if they key ONLY on his cheating. His corruption and evil deals and partnerships outside of the sport is sickening to the max.

Does anyone care about Lance Armstrong I wonder?

Lol. That’s my rant for now.

I have an acquired taste for trailers and this one pleases me. It’s so good. The title cards are simple greatness.

I’m ready for Ben Foster to actually breakthrough in the awards seasons. I was ready for that since years ago but this time seems more likely.

Does one really need to “care” about Lance Armstrong to be able to enjoy this movie or go watch it? I didn’t care about Facebook anymore when that film came out and it was perfect. I don’t give a shit about baseball in general and Moneyball was one of my favorites the year it came out. You could find countless examples like this.

And yes, assholes make great subjects.

At least Zuckerberg is an asshole revolutioner, I still cannot believe Hollywood make a movie about Jordan who from that wolf of wall street who steals from the poor. The fact that the movie is so good and nicely done anger me to the absolute max. I hope this movie turns our REALLL bad because that Lance who deserves it. Sorry, I’m full of so many emotions right now I can’t think straight.

I swapped Hanks for Foster, I am confident Foster will make the five.
