One of the highlights of the 70th and 75th Academy Awards was the Oscar Family Album featuring a large number of previous acting winners. If you haven’t seen it before, it can probably be found on youtube or other video sites.
With 29 previous acting winners already confirmed this year as presenters or nominees (and more to be announced this week), do you think the producers might be lining this up again for the 85th ceremony? If so, could they top the total of 70 that returned for the 70th ceremony?
There are currently 137 living acting winners plus 11 honorary/juvenile acting recipients. The earliest one in each category: Luise Rainer (Actress – 1936); Eva Marie Saint (Supporting Actress – 1954); Max Schell (Actor – 1961); George Chakiris (Supporting Actor – 1961). In fact, it is incredible that all four winners from 1961 are still alive (Schell, Chakiris, Sophia Loren, and Rita Moreno).
57 LIVING ACTOR WINNERS (**10 already attending**):
F. Murray Abraham
Robert De Niro**
Benicio del Toro
Cuba Gooding, Jr.
Louis Gossett, Jr.
Philip Seymour Hoffman**
Tommy Lee Jones**
80 LIVING ACTRESS WINNERS (**13 already attending**):
Olivia de Havilland
Marcia Gay Harden

Plus, Javier Bardem and Judi Dench could also be there as part of the cast of Skyfall, as well as Rachel Weisz with Daniel Craig and Penelope Cruz with Bardem.
Russell Crowe could be there as part of the cast of Les Miz.
Jamie Foxx with the cast of Django.
Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren representing Hitchcock.
Cate Blanchett as part of the Hobbit (and promoting the hundred movies she has coming out).
Michael Douglas with Catherine Zeta-Jones.
That makes 15 actors and 18 actresses. Not saying they’re going, but it’s a possibility.
Plus, the following actors had big movies this year (box office hits/critical successes) and/or big projects coming up:
EDIT: Michael Douglas and Jamie Foxx were already confirmed to present, along with Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd, according to the Academy’s TwitterFebruary 22, 2013 at 6:45 am #91959

I just want Olivia de Havilland and Joan Fontaine to sit next to each other or one right in back of the other. Pull the camera back and let us see their expressions when the other one is announced.February 22, 2013 at 9:24 am #91961
So what, is the Oscar Family Album happening, or are we just speculating it?September 16, 2014 at 3:29 am #91962
will this ever happen again?September 16, 2014 at 3:48 am #91963
Definetly the 100th anniversary I would think.September 16, 2014 at 6:07 am #91964
I think it all depends who the producer is. The current team seems more concerned with staging musical numbers and reminding audiences of their contributions to Chicago than celebrating the movies that came out or the Oscar tradition.
