    On The Aisle.

Some of those don’t count because do they not have 4 consecutive nominates (Julie Christie, Peter O’Toole, Robert Duvall, Mickey Rooney & Joanne Woodward).

    Marlon Brando is another 50s, 60s, 70’s & 80s.

Interesting only 4 actors with five: Caine, Nicholson, Olivier & Streep.

Streep will more likely than not be the first to make 6.

Katherine Hepburn was nominated and won in 1981 too. That makes like 5 decades?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Michael Caine get a nomination sometime this decade. He’s still active enough that with the right film and performance, he can certainly get in. I’m closely following ‘The Early Years’ to see if it might be a contender, because it seems to have potential. If Nicholson comes back to performing, he’ll also have a shot, provided it’s a drama and not a comedy.

Yes, you are right about Brando and I realised that I had made a mistake whilst I was out for dinner. One valium too many today I’m afraid.
