Yes, Wallis was miles better than Lawrence. She knew how to carry an entire film with such energy and heart and it wound up being more complex and humane than I expected, at five years old no less. Lawrence knew how to smash plates on the ground and laughably screech “Fuck you! He’s harraaaassing me!” and cry and y’all thought that was impressive enough to be in the top five performances of the YEAR? When she didn’t even understand Tiffany or take her to a place of depth?

Wallis (along with Watts and Riva) was indeed one of the redeeming factors in a remarkably weak and un-competitive line-up that year.

Am I the only one who thought Cooper took Lawrence to school in SLP? Especially with how (to a certain degree) subtle and understated he was compared to Lawrence’s over the top antics? If DDL and Joaquin Phoenix were not in the best actor race that year, it should have been Cooper being the Oscar winner and not Lawrence.

Let’s take a deep breath. Done. Now, we all know you hate Lawrence, but this post is ridiclious. I mean I can take your previous opinion on Lawrence being the weakest link in the category. It’s absolutely subjective and I’m aware your hatred towards one of the greatest young actresses named Jennifer Lawrence, so it was like okay. But Wallis knew how to carry an entire film? Really? I mean no offense, but that little girl knew nothing about her film, her character or acting in the first place. Like get fucking real.
Tiffany was meant to be all over the place and over the top. That’s how mental illness works in some people. Lawrence was absolutely charming, charismatic and fun – not to mention she and Cooper (who I normally not love) were superb together. You take every opportunity to bash Lawrence, which is fine, but you have to deal with the fact, that most people liked her in the role, and that once again most people find her VERY talented.

Different categories and too many ifs.

There will always will be a popular actress that everyone loves, but then turns them to hate them
    Ex: 90s-Julia Roberts
    00s-Reese WitherSpoon
    10s-Jennifer Lawrence

Witherspoon and Roberts are less hated today, Lawrence just needs to get into her late 30s

‘Can’t stand her’ is maybe too much? I think as of her acting career, she is respected enough. I mean she is only in her 20’s and very successful, so there are some silly people who speak up against her a lot. But hating someone you don’t know…I’m not sure about that. Also I think her filmography is quite strong to be objectively despise it. I mean people can subjectively dislike her, but to say that at the age of 27, she is a bad actress, with bad performances and films under her belt – is just simply nuts and untrue.

The stans who keep pushing the whole youngest actress to have 5 Oscar noms means she’s gonna be the next Meryl or whatever it is drive me nuts.

Serena was Razzie-worthy, so don’t say she doesn’t have a bad performance – that’s just simply nuts and untrue.

She wasn’t bad in Serena. She wasn’t Oscar-worthy either.

Some critics have seen “Last Flag Flying” and “Blade Runner 2049″(I think. Kevin Polowy only predicts what he’s seen, right?)  Two experts have the latter in their top five.
