    i just finshed watching “Oz: The Great and Powerful” last night and I’m wondering, is this film basically a lock for visual effects? I’m not sure I can think of anything else that would beat this visual feast for the eyes.

    I think it’s more likely to be “Man of Steel.” I’ve never really seen a movie who can make that kind of stuff seem realistic, but that’s what those effects did.

    My other nominees would include Oz and Star Trek.

    No. I actually didn’t like the visual effects in this film. It looked so obviously fake……. lol But i do think for the moment that it is a lock for costume design.

    so far it had the best special/visual effects I’ve seen.

    No. I actually didn’t like the visual effects in this film. It looked so obviously fake…….

    But wasn’t that kind of the point? to create a world of total fantasy?
