James Franco will not get an Oscar Nomination? Haha, you must be kidding, aren’t you?

Apparently there is an expose’ coming soon for his pompous ass. So perhaps by the time Feb rolls in his career might be over.

Wonder Woman is not favoured in the odds for a single nomination.

I believe Franco isn’t getting snubbed, my biggest prediction is Tom Hanks. He’s been snubbed two consecutive times. This could be his third.

Hanks for sure. If he got snubbed for captain Phillips, he’ll get snubbed for this. I also agree Spielberg and screenplay snubs for the Post could happen.

I’m starting to wonder if Timothée Chalamet could be snubbed. When was the last time someone that young was nominated for lead actor? I don’t think it’ll happen but I think there’s a distinct possibility.
(Edit, the last time a 23 year old was nominated for lead was 1943. Ryan gosling in 2006 was the most recent young nominee at 26. Not here how much this means but he’d be the 3rd youngest nominee in history)

I wouldn’t be surprised either, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they nominate Chalamet as supporting. Ik it sounds random af, but lead & supporting is very fluid these days, and the film is more of an ensemble film. After all Armie Hammer is credited before Chalamet in the poster, so everyone could be considered supporting.

    1. He is not someone who is taken very seriously as an actor despite being an Oscar nominee
    2. Its a comedic performance which have enough trouble getting into supporting categories let alone Best Actor
    3. You have Franco beating Chalamet and Oldman and the screenplay beating CMBYN. Biased

Give Paul Thomas Anderson an Oscar.

Hammer’s name is the first out in the opening credits as well, which puzzled me because this is Chalamet’s character’s story and the film carried by him.

Getting snubbed due to his youth is a possibility. But what might work in his favor is that he’s in two very talked-about movies which boosts his presence in the conversation.

I certainly hope he gets nominated because it’s one of the most refreshing performances from a male actor in recent memory.
