I liked that last year when they had Dunaway and Beatty back together (despite the mishap.)

Who else would be good candidates to reunite?

I’m thinking Streisand and Redford, Nicholson and Shirley MacLaine, Cher and Nicolas Cage. Others?

Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio would be my pick, in honor of Titanic’s 20th anniversary Best Picture win. If not them, perhaps the following:

    Tom Hanks & Robin Wright
Warren Beatty & Faye Dunaway (I do believe they should be allowed another shot at this).
    Brad Pitt & Cate Blanchett
    Dustin Hoffman & Meryl Streep
    Julie Andrews & Christopher Plummer
    Cary Elwes & Robin Wright
    Matt Damon & Minnie Driver
    Dustin Hoffman & Jessica Lange
    Al Pacino & Diane Keaton
    Richard Gere & Julia Roberts

Don’t count on Dustin Hoffman being anywhere near the ceremony.

For an event such as the 90th Oscars, they should look for Hollywood’s oldest living legends duo – Olivia de Havilland and Kirk Douglas.

1968 doesn’t have any classic male/female pairings where both actors are alive.

    1978:
Jane Fonda & Jon Voight – Coming Home
Meryl Streep & Robert De Niro/Christopher Walken – The Deer Hunter
Julie Christie & Warren Beatty – Heaven Can Wait
Maggie Smith & Michael Caine – California Suite (yeah, I know but it would be so cool!)

    1988:
Jamie Lee Curtis & Kevin Kline – A Fish Called Wanda
Melanie Griffith & Harrison Ford – Working Girl
Glenn Close & John Malkovich – Dangerous Liaisons (that would be huge!)
Susan Sarandon & Kevin Costner – Bull Durham
Geena Davis & Alec Baldwin – Beetlejuice

They’re both older than Oscars. Let them live their life away from it all. I should say Douglas should have presented Best Picture during 2011 ceremony and not Best Supporting Actress.

Plus, de Havilland said in an interview around her 100th birthday that was losing her eyesight. Plus, she lives in France, so she simply be too frail to travel.

    You’re right; my mistake.

Here are some ideas I’ve came up with…

Drew Barrymore, Robert MacNaughton, & Henry Thomas – E.T.
Sandra Bullock & Keanu Reeves – Speed
Glenn Close & Michael Douglas – Fatal Attraction
Jennifer Connelly & Russell Crowe – A Beautiful Mind
Laura Dern & Sam Neill – Jurassic Park
Melinda Dillon & Richard Dreyfuss – Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Sally Field & Burt Reynolds – Smokey and the Bandit
Joseph Fiennes & Gwyneth Paltrow – Shakespeare in Love
Harrison Ford & Mark Hamill – Star Wars
Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan – Sleepless in Seattle/You’ve Got Mail
    Olivia Newton-John & John Travolta – Grease

Really the best one would be Barbra Streisand & Robert Redford in my opinion. I can just imagine the applause.
