She was very deserving in both, in THG she was a more obvious lead because she’s co leading in SLP but both performances were great and we all know the commercial perfomance of THG and the fact she’s amazing in it helped her get the Oscar.

I think she gives the best performance from any young novel film adaptation. I’m voting for SLP because the dinner scene for me was stunning, i know some people dislike her acting but personally i think she’s wonderful, and in a very short time she has proven to be a constant actress (And i prefer Catching Fire).

Deserving for both but still not deserving of the win over Emmanuelle Riva or Jessica Chastain.

Silver Linings Playbook and she deserved to win over Emmanuelle Riva and Jessica Chastain. She is also awesome in The Hunger Games franchise. She gives throw away lines such great emotion and elevates the films with her talent

While I would have been ok with any and think is right for Silver Linings Playbook, a nomination for The Hunger Games would been more interesting and an absolute show off of her power to achieve that for such atypical movie.

Right win? Multiple miscastings and overexposition apart, I like Lawrence and I see the appeal and the talent (I was a massive supporter for her breakthrough on Winter’s Bone). She could take an award season without all the divisive stuff. Her win was way too soon, way too hesitant.

That year I would give my vote to Naomi Watts for The Impossible in a heartbeat.

I think her performance in The Hunger Games is outstanding and her performances throughout the franchise are awesome, especially in Mockingjay (I was truly moved and blown away). I still think her performance in SLP was just good.
