This is so sad. RIP Carrie Fisher.December 27, 2016 at 10:43 am #1201975532
Me and my niece were just watching reruns of Catastrophe when the sad, horrible news came on. The look of shock on her poor face.
It’s heartbreaking. Prayers to her beautiful daughter. RIP Ms Carrie Fisher.December 27, 2016 at 10:44 am #1201975534
UGH I was googling her name every five minutes since Christmas Eve, heard she was in stable condition, then stopped, and NOW she dies. This is all my fault. This year needs to end.December 27, 2016 at 10:45 am #1201975535
such such sad news, and she seem to ready to get back onto the spotlight with the new star wars movies, she seem to be having a great time. I imagine there was no pressure this time around and just enjoying a second go about. Just terrible, i feel so bad for her mother and her family. RIP, she will be miss.December 27, 2016 at 11:44 am #1201975580

A true legend of cinema. I’ve long said that there’s no need to pretend every celebrity who dies was great, but Fisher truly was. Sad day, sad year. Rest in peace, and prayers for her family and friends.December 27, 2016 at 12:26 pm #1201975603
I would assume they CGI her death, hopefully in a respectful way, towards the beginning of the episode 9 since they finished episode 8.December 27, 2016 at 12:43 pm #1201975612
I loved her madly, not just in the Star Wars pictures, but in gems like When Harry Met Sally, Soapdish and, of course, Hannah and Her Sisters. She was truly one of the funniest writers/performers around and I am going to miss her more than words can possibly say.

I hope this legend wins a posthumous Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Episode VIII. Perhaps her performance won’t be the best, but she singlehandedly revolutionized the female lead in the genre movies and paved the way for the likes of Ripley and other heroines. She deserves recognition.
