    I thought this would be of interest here.

    She really got some nasty comments about that speech apparently. I remember comedians doing jokes about it for a long time but I don’t get why academy members were so mad at her.

    I’ve never understood the problem with that speech. It always seemed really heartfelt and sweet to me.

    The speech was rubbing her victory in the faces of actual film actresses she defeated. Field works in Hollywood all the time but the respect just isn’t there for her.

    This card again? Sally Field is a film actress with a lot of respect from her peers. There’s a reason why Chris lists her as a strong candidate for honorary awards. Check the Anne Hathaway Globe speech.

    Ah, the lovely and wonderful Sally!

    She looks wonderful…doesnt dress like a car-seat cover (coughhillaryclintoncoughcoughhack) and has so much grace.

     

    At least we remember her heart-felt acceptance speech!
