    Only 10 times have films won both Lead and Supporting Actress in all of Oscar history:

           * Gone with the Wind (Vivien Leigh/Hattie McDaniel)
           * Mrs. Miniver (Greer Garson/Teresa Wright)
           * A Streetcar Named Desire (Vivien Leigh/Kim Hunter)
           * The Miracle Worker (Anne Bancroft/Patty Duke)

         * Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Elizabeth Taylor/Sandy Dennis)
         * Network (Faye Dunaway/Beatrice Straight)
         *  Moonstruck (Cher/Olympia Dukakis)
         * The Piano (Holly Hunter/Anna Paquin)
         *  Shakespeare in Love (Gwyneth Paltrow/Judi Dench)

    And only 3 films have won both Lead & Supporting Male Actor
        * Going My Way (Bing Crosby/Barry Fitzgerald)
        * The Best Years of Our Lives (Frederic March/Harold Russell)

    the duo of Shakespeare in Love and The Miracle Worker should not had won and possibly of the Moonstruck either.

    Gwyneth/Judi should be Blanchett in Elizabeth or Montenegro in Central Station (my favorite) or Watson in Hilary & Jackie / Griffiths in Hilary & Jackie or Redgrave in Gods and Monsters (my favorite)

    Bancroft/Duke should be Hepburn in Long Day’s (perfection) or Davis in Baby Jane (stunning) / Shirley Knight in Sweet Bird of Youth or Angela Lansbury in Manchurian Candidate (perfection 2).

    the others womens are great winners even if they weren’t my first choices, the 3 duo of men are fine.
