That time of year again, as Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center holds sway over upcoming movies that will be unveiled here.

11:45AM-12:45PM: Open Road Films Presents: Snowden sneak preview/panel/Q&A with director Oliver Stone, in his first visit to Comic-Con, and actors Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Zachary Quinto, and Scott Eastwood.

12:30-1PM Walt Disney Animation Studios Presents Moana: Art of Story behind the scenes sneak peek with directors Ron Clements and John Musker plus panel of artists TBA. Room 6A

The story: Special operatives Valerian and Laureline embark on a mission to the breathtaking intergalactic city of Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis made up of thousands of species from all corners of the universe. Alpha’s 17 million inhabitants have converged over time, uniting their talents, technology, and resources for the betterment of all. But not everyone on Alpha shares in these same objectives; unseen forces are at work, placing their race in great danger.

    Super Saturday, July 23:

11:30AM-1:30PM Warner Brothers Presents: Movies and panels TBA. Only confirmed ones are Suicide Squad and Kong: Skull Island

5:30PM-6:45PM Marvel Cinematic Universe Presents: Movies and panels TBA. Only confirmed panel is Guardians of the Galaxy 2.0.

Not so super, as TV events continue to occupy Hall H as well as an Aliens: 30th Anniversary reunion. SDCC’s worst movie panel lineup in a generation.

No movie panels on Sunday, July 24, as has been the case for the past 4 years. Is Disney’s D23 convention been that catastrophic for SDCC? Apparently so.
