I used not to like her as an actress, but the last couple of years she has proven herself. She was my win last year and I liked a lot her performance in EL&IC.

I found this clip on youtube and I think that she was pretty good in all that scenes, I would have nominated her for al least two of them.

Also I think she is the most charming, funny and down to earth celebrity on Hollywood.

What do you think, guys? What are your noms and wins for her?

PD: the user on youtube also have a video of some behind scenes from Gravity that is a must see.

She is a pretty good actress. Very underrated in my opinion.

I hate the fact that people forgive for actors like Matthew McConaughey for their bad choices – he had many terrible films in his filmography – and considering them as one of the biggest hits lately, but they don’t forgive for people like Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz or Drew Barrymore, even if they are doing a good work in their career. Yes. I will say it out loud. They forgive for all men.

    In my opinion…

1 win out of 5 Oscar Nominations for Bullock
Nomination: 2013 – Leading Actress – “Gravity” (She was a worthy runner-up for Blanchett)
Nomination: 2011 – Suppoting Actress – “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” (She was very close for the nomination, in my opinion, probably after Woodley on the 7th place)
Nomination: 2009 – Leading Actress – “The Blind Side” (Perfectly deserving that she won, she was very good, even if I ranked her 4th in this category, I didn’t mind)
Win: 2006 – Supporting Actress – “Infamous” (Brilliant supporting performance and a huge Oscar snub)
Nomination: 2004 – Supporting Actress – “Crash” (She had one memorable scene which was alone deserving for an Oscar nomination)

She’s one of the funniest lady, not over the top on herself. She’s nice and kind. And grateful. I love her! Hope she will keep proving her talent in the future!

    The video was cool!

Yeah, Sandra deserved one win in her whole career. For “Infamous”. She was magnificent. It would have been one of the most deserved wins of the decade had she been nominated and won.

No rush of stans so far.

Under rated?? After winning an Oscar and being nominated for no reason twice, I’d have to disagree that she’s being overlooked.

Aside from All About Steve, where she is shockingly terrible, I find nothing too wrong with her filmography. She makes them, they usually make money, and she’s charismatic and likeable. I’ve been a fan of hers for quite some time, believe it or not.

This is still my favorite film of Sandra’s:

I continue to wish her well. She’s delightful most of the time.

#of Oscar noms she deserved: 0

And I disagree with you. She was brilliant in “Gravity” and very good in “The Blind Side”. Also have you seen her in “Infamous” or “Crash”?

She’s not bad but she’s also not that good.

She has a couple high profile (in oscar sense) movies and people think her acting is some kind of revelation. Just like McConaughey who basically plays the same character in his recent films and one of them eventually lead to an oscar.

I thought she was great in The Blind Side. Would she be my personal winner? Probably not, but still. And Cate Blanchett deserved her 2013 Oscar, however Sandra Bullock was so good in Gravity that i just pretend she won her Oscar in 2009 for Gravity.

Yeah maybe you’re right. That was a stupid comment. In all honesty, I don’t hate Sandra. I think she’s overrated and never had a performance in her career that screamed “Oscar”. She was good in the Blind Side and did practically nothing in Gravity, but again maybe like McConaughey, my opinion of her will totally change once she has a really strong performance in another movie. So far I haven’t seen it, but never say never.

A perfectly worthy comment this time. I respect your point of view!

I would’ve nominated her for ‘Infamous’ (the 5 actual nominees are all terrific, but I think Blanchett is co-lead with Dench, so if I take her out there’s room for Bullock), I might’ve nom’d her for ‘The Blind Side’ (it wasn’t an incredibly strong year, and I liked her performance), and she was my winner last year for ‘Gravity’. So for me, 2 (maybe 3) nominations, one win.

I like her too. I think she deserved her Oscar for Blind Side and deserved her nomination for Gravity.

She was also good in ELAIC and Crash…but I don’t think I would have given her awards for those 2 movies.

She’s underrated on these boards, but she’s perfectly rated everywhere else.
