I’m LOVING this. Luke Skywalker is back 🙂
Does anybody think Carrie Fisher can get a posthumous nomination?
i dont think so ? idk though if its a weak year maybe

The teaser is exquisitely done. Again!
The trailers for this new Star Wars’ films has been managed with such precision and grandeur.
I was a little underwhelmed but I think at this point it’s just difficult for them to impress me because I expect a great trailer and that’s what I got. With TFA, I didn’t know what to expect, but I loved that movie so now I’m not as worried. This isn’t going to get Oscar love besides the usual visual effects. Carrie Fisher was kind of a weak spot in TFA, so unless her performance is a lot better and with a bigger role she won’t be in the conversation. It’s so awesome that Luke is really back, that did get me a little excited.
If anything happens to Poe Dameron then the entire production crew is going to catch THESE HANDS
It was pretty good. I expected a little more but it’s only a teaser (JL spoiled me last summer by pretty much giving me a full trailer as “teaser” so I was unprepared for an actual teaser). I thought by this time last year we already had a full trailer but I don’t remember. Still, pretty hyped!
Teaser was exactly how I wanted it to be. Wish there was more of Poe but still there were a lot of great things out of this 1 teaser. Captain Phasma is back! SHE GONNA DO SOMETHING FINALLY! KYLOXDDDDDD FINN:DD REY:)) But when Luke said that it was time for the Jedi to end I was like LUKE WTF! Still love him tho:D Definitely seeing it on opening night.

I learned my lesson in 2015. The Oscars will ignore The Last Jedi no matter if it earns a billion $ domestically and/or gets 100 on Rotten Tomatoes. The best picture of 2015, and the most popular movie of all time (93% RT) was left out of the BP running altogether and we got stuck with SPOTLIGHT as that year’s ‘best’ film. It was relegated to the ghetto of VFX, art direction and sound, and then effing Ex Machina steals the VFX award from it. Doesn’t matter if there are 1,300 new Academy members. There are still 4000+ who are hell-bent against sci-fi movies getting important Oscar noms.
