    Does this mean you want him to work with Fernanda Montenegro?

    I bet if we think about it we can find a category where Spielberg has worked with all the nominees.

    Well that wasn’t too hard! I found one already. 1993 Best Actor: Tom Hanks, Daniel Day-Lewis, Liam Neeson, Anthony Hopkins and Laurence Fishburne (who had a small role in The Color Purple apparently.)

    Laurence Fishburne (who had a small role in The Color Purple apparently.)

    He’s the only other nonwhite character in the scene where Oprah is attacked by the townspeople.

    * Bruce Dern (The Haunting)

    Just because that movie is a Dreamworks release does not mean he worked with Spielberg. We’re only talking about actors who have worked with him in movies he directed.

    I dont recall Streep in A.I. That ground breaking gorgeous film is too depressing for me to watch again.

    I think Streep was the voice of one of the robots or fairys or something like that.

    You’re right. No way I’m watching it again though. Lol. Funny how, Hook, and Indy 4 are so forgettable.

     I know what you mean. I remember ( back in the day ) being dazzeled by the special effects of “A.I. “
     I bragged it would be a new generation’s ” Wizard Of Oz ” ( ok, ok, I’m a poor prophet ) And to top
     that, Robin Williams’ performance in “Hook ” charmed me so much that I totally overlooked the
    massive shortcommings of the plot. Full disclosure, sometimes I’m a sap.

    Personally, I often need to be reminded that War Horse was adapted into a movie.

    AMISTAD features nominated actors from 3 of the Best Picture rivals that lost to SCHINDLER’S LIST four years earlier:

    Anthony Hopkins (THE REMAINS OF THE DAY)
    Anna Paquin (THE PIANO)
    Pete Postlethwaite (IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER)
