Is the chat that Goldderby broadcast live the other day on the site anywhere still? I can’t find it. I only saw the end.
Are you asking for the Q&A after the screening in N.Y on Monday?
I was there after the screening..The cast was very engaged
but Streep and Mulroney answered most of the questions and
did most of the talking..Mulroney praised Streep for her acting
especially the dinner table scene…he said she brings something
different to each take, each brilliant, and because of her, the
dynamics and energy changes from take to take….she seemed
genuinely taken back by his wonderful comments…but thats
our girl Meryl!!!!
That was a wonderful comment by Dermot, that Meryl could have such a profound effect on the actors around her. Certainly a high compliment, knowing the pressure of a lead actor in a film, most of whom cannot possibly live up to their reputation and very few of whom can set the tone and lead other actors in that direction.
Thank you for sharing this; really fun and interesting Q&A with a cast that seems to have really enjoyed making this film together.
I really appreciated Tracy’s comments about adapting the story of his grandmother, and Meryl’s own interpretation of the character’s motivations. Makes me very excited to see this next month!
