Here’s the first teaser trailer for Sofia Coppola’s ‘The Bling Ring’ starring Emma Watson, Taissa Farmiga, and Leslie Mann. It comes out this June with a possible Cannes debut.

    From IMDB:

“Inspired by actual events, a group of fame-obsessed teenagers use the Internet to track celebrities’ whereabouts in order to rob their homes.”

The real girls this film is based on robbed the homes of celebs such as Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Orlando Bloom circa 2006.

Don’t know if this’ll be a comeback for Sofia, but it does look interesting. Read that the film is an ensemble feature, and it might be an Indie smash. Wonder if this film will be added to the Cannes lineup since it premieres in June.

Omg the trailer looks amazing! Looks very comedic and dark at the sane time. Love how one of my favorite songs “212” is featured in it!

I think Emma Watson is right on the way to be called as “one of the greatest young actress today”. She was good in “My Week with Marilyn”, Oscar-worthy in “The Perks Being a Wallflower” and I hope she’ll actually be nominated for this.

Emma’s accent has definitely improved since Perks, which i loved. She has already claimed she is not lead so i suspect if she does gain attention it would be for supporting.

I’m a fan of Coppola’s work, maybe this will get a screenplay nod?

Oh, I’m so excited for this. Emma Watson has that disaffected California teenager drawl down pat.

Great trailer. Emma Watson looks and sounds PERFECT here. I’m looking very forward to her performance. I especially loved her line reading when she’s making that statement to the press: “I’m a firm believer in karma. And I think this situation is a huge learning lesson for me, to grow and expand as a spiritual human being. I want to lead a country one day for all I know.” PERFECTION. Her accent is pitch perfect. Love it.

Emma got Alexis Neiers down PERFECTLY. It’s such a shame that the woman she’s portraying is actually a walking talking parody in real life. It’s going to be a very divisive performance as a result because a lot of the people who won’t like it won’t be aware of who she’s playing.
