Nice. Looks like a movie shot with instagram filters. Can’t wait!June 26, 2013 at 12:30 pm #104089
The teaser makes me want to see more. And as I said before, it’s gonna be one of FOX’s major players during awards season. For now I’m expecting nods for BP, director, cinematography, editing, sound, original screenplay and supporting actress (Diaz). I’d say supporting actor is still a possibility but I think Bardem and Pitt will cancel each other out.June 26, 2013 at 2:27 pm #104090
The whole “Oscar nominee”, “Oscar winner” and “Golden Globe nominee” thing is kinda annoying. Besides that, interesting teaser.June 26, 2013 at 3:18 pm #104091
Golden Globe nominee Cameron Diaz was only for “There’s Something About Mary.” I don’t really understand how that really says that she’ll be good for this. But, I really do want her to succeed and get nominated for this. She looks decent for the three seconds we see her in the trailer.June 26, 2013 at 3:27 pm #104092

And Being John Malkovich. And Vanilla Sky. And Gangs Of New York. She was nominated four times at the Globes.June 26, 2013 at 4:10 pm #104093
Yep, forgot about those. Still, I’m excited about her performance. Not sure she can win if Margo Martindale or Julia Roberts are in that category for August: Osage County, but hoping for a nom.June 26, 2013 at 5:39 pm #104094
Diaz looks INTENSE(/crazy hot)! Seems very out of character for her especially for her more recent rom-com ventures which will hopefully be good thing. The movie overall looks very good I’m excited to see it come outJuly 17, 2013 at 10:13 pm #104096
So freaking excited for this movie. I’m not a fan of Cameron Diaz but with Fassbender, Pitt, and Bardem, i think i can put up with her.July 17, 2013 at 11:23 pm #104097
What if it’s Penelope Cruz, not Cameron Diaz, who ends up scoring a Best Supporting Actress nod?July 18, 2013 at 12:31 am #104098
Then that means it’ll be Cruz 4, Diaz 0.July 18, 2013 at 7:20 am #104099
^ Honestly, that wouldn’t shock me at all. Those old white men aka AMPAS have a soft spot for Penelope. It’s your typical supporting girlfriend role but if they nominated her for “Nine” then they can nominate her for anything.
If Diaz won’t at least get nominated for it that means they truly hate her. She has the best part, the talent and there’s no accent (her Achilles’ heel). She’s gonna nail it, that’s the only thing I’m sure about that. And she looks absolutely divine in this new teaser!July 19, 2013 at 5:05 am #104100
If she won’t be nominated for this, she never will. The whole film looks amazing and I’m pretty surprised that at this point Cameron is in this kind of baity project. And they kinda revisited “Vanilla Sky” with Cruz playing good and Diaz playing bad (although they didn’t share the screen there). From the trailer it looks like their scene together is something to look forward to. This could be the best film of the year!July 19, 2013 at 1:27 pm #104101
What makes the creators of this spot look braindead is they omit the one important award Diaz ever received – best actress from the NYFC for There’s Something About Mary.
The point I assume is to encourage potential voters to think about her. Using GG nominations, when everyone in the industry knows the group is a joke, is insulting to her. Using the NYFC, which is considered a credible award, would make much more sense.
