So that Oscar is finally going to catch up with DiCaprio, right?
The premise of the film is that DiCaprio will be playing Billy Milligan, the first criminal defendant to use multiple-personality disorder as a successful defense in the court of law.
DiCaprio will apparently be playing the roles of 24 different personalities, spanning genders, and ranging from a con man, to a sax player, to a smartass Englishman, and many more personalities deemed ‘undesirable’.
Could this finally be his year?March 2, 2015 at 1:37 pm #181841
That sounds awful.March 2, 2015 at 2:26 pm #181842
I’ve read plenty of stuff about this Billy Gilligan person. I believe this is the baitiest character that has ever existed in the history of cinema LMAO.March 2, 2015 at 3:15 pm #181844
Is it a more baity role than Redmayne in The Danish Girl though?March 2, 2015 at 4:59 pm #181845
I just hope this won’t be a Jessica Chastain situation with two big Oscar movie projects at the same time but DiCaprio has gone through that before with Blood Diamond and The DepartedMarch 2, 2015 at 7:22 pm #181847
Ick. this could go so very wrong, so very quickly. I like Dicaprio as much as anybody but we all know that when he is bad, he is really really bad. And this just screams OVER ACTING to me.March 2, 2015 at 8:32 pm #181848
Well, I cant really endorse the writers attached to this project, but New Regency just won back-to-back Best Pictures, with 12 Years a Slave and Birdman. If The Revenant does as well, (again, New Regency) I’d say they’re the films’ best asset.
My hunch is, if they are successful in getting this film made, that The Crowded Room will be a player.
But for me, a LOT will depend on how much they focus on the Psychiatry business, before I could enjoy watching it. Psychology, I dont have the same problem with….
