With all of the uncertainty and differing information surrounding this film, I figured we could use a thread to organize everything.

The title is not listed in the exhaustive and usually authoratative NYTImes list today of all films opening between now and the end of October. which would confirm that any thought that this is opening soon is untrue. As with Therese and other films, if there is a sensational response at Toronto, there is a small chance that the distributor might attempt to still open it this year. But it is very unlikely.September 25, 2013 at 2:43 pm #111339
Any update?January 26, 2014 at 12:48 pm #111341
Pretty decent trailer.
Any release date info?January 26, 2014 at 12:50 pm #111342
UPDATE: Comingsoon.net says limited release March 7th. Not sure how reliable that is.January 26, 2014 at 3:19 pm #111343
It’s IFC – the date looks solid.
IFC often goes VOD with its English language films. If they do with this, it would mean either they do a secret qualifying run in LA before or they figured it has no Oscar hopes.January 26, 2014 at 3:39 pm #111344
Get it, Annette.March 5, 2014 at 11:49 am #111345
The film had its LA premiere today, will open in theaters this Friday and go VOD next week.
Mixed to positive reviews so far, 56 on metacritic with 6 reviews (70 from Variety, 60 from Hollywood Reporter).March 5, 2014 at 11:55 am #111346
The trailer looks okay, but nothing that could garner any Academy Award attention at all.March 5, 2014 at 11:58 am #111347
I agree. Bening’s Oscar vehicle this year will most likely be “The Search.”March 5, 2014 at 12:50 pm #111349
The film looks interesting and Annette and Ed Harris are sure to give great performances. Weird that Robin Williams has such a small role in a small film. I guess because they make so few films in LA he probably jumped at doing som film work that wasn’t on location far away.
