She’s young, hot, has talent and will have two Oscar bates this year for “Lovelace” and for the musical “Les Misérables”.
Has worked with Meryl Streep.
….with Vanessa Redgrave
….with Julie Christie
….with Glenn Close
….with Julianne Moore
Will work with Robert de Niro and Diane Keaton.
She’s popular and has a great singing voice.
She have bad movies like “Red Riding Hood” and good ones like “Mean Girls” and “Chloe”.
She’s Hollywood’s new star. Let’s discuss. Double Oscar nomination?March 7, 2012 at 1:55 pm #57013
I think she has potential, but it hasn’t been fully realized yet. Hopefully after these upcoming roles she’ll be offered better parts. She’s a gorgeous girl, and I thought she was great in ‘Chloe’ opposite Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson.March 7, 2012 at 2:05 pm #57014

Jennifer’s Body….March 7, 2012 at 3:12 pm #57016
Her movie carreer is a mess! So, of course, she will get an Oscar nomination someday…March 7, 2012 at 3:16 pm #57017
Frankly, if there’s any young actress I wanna see break into Oscar success it’s Dakota Fanning, who seems to have a solid set of films lined-up for this year. Maybe one of them could be a contender.March 7, 2012 at 3:51 pm #57018
Well, what about Jonah Hill? Or Jesse Eisenberg? The had bad movies, even bad performances and they become Academy-Awards nominated actors. So I think it’s all up from the performance. And she’s capeable.March 7, 2012 at 4:02 pm #57019
She’s worked with Gary Oldman and Julie Christie as well. Dont want to forget that.March 7, 2012 at 5:53 pm #57020

Jesse Eisenberg had a pretty awesome filmography for a young actor before his Oscar nomination actually and as for Hill, Knocked Up, Superbad and Forgetting Sarah Marshall have their share of critical plaudits.March 8, 2012 at 1:11 am #57021
Well Amanda had “Chloe” and “Mean Girls” and I think she was good in “Mamma Mia!” too. So it’s almost the same.March 8, 2012 at 1:13 am #57022
And I also belive that she did a great job in the series called “Big Love”. Also she was ok in “Dear John” “Letters to Juliet” and “Red Riding Hood”. It’s one thing that those movies sucked, she was okay. Just okay, not great, not bad, okay.March 8, 2012 at 2:39 am #57023
I liked her in Chloe, and while Mean Girls is one of my favorite movies, her part in it is pretty lousy. Except for “I’m a mouse, duh”, she really had nothing great to do in it.
She definitely has great potential. See Big Love season 3. I’d take her over Mia wasikowska and alike anyday. But she’s made some pretty crappy film choices over the last years. Well actually all of them have been crappy, now that I think about it. Maybe it wasn’ t her fault and she wasn’t offered anythin better, but I sure hope her projects this year turn out to be better.March 8, 2012 at 12:03 pm #57024
She has resorted into mainstream film making, and thought it’s nothing to be ashamed of (totally understandable to expand her popularity among people), most of her recent films suck: Red Riding Hood, Jennifer’s Body etc. She was good in Chloe, and Big Love, but while she was in some okay movies, she wasn’t the stand out as well (e.g. Mean Girls).
I must commend her though as she seems to be on a lead with the best career post-Mean Girls. Now if only Rachel McAdams went on as what was predicted…March 8, 2012 at 12:28 pm #57025
I liked her a lot on Veronica Mars as well.
