I’d just like to say that if this film is actually going to be called “The Papers” I’m not watching it. I expect a better title from Spielberg.

That’s some of the dumbest shit I ever heard

That is so silly. Spielberg is not someone who has been known to have spectacular titles. I don’t think it’s ever mattered. I mean there was “Jaws” (about a shark), “ET”(about an extra terrestrial), and the best title yet “Lincoln.”

I can’t wait for this movie. The idea that Meryl Streep, Sarah Paulson and Carrie Coon all in one movie is something that you will never ever thought in your life. Thank you Spielberg for making it happen.

Also, I hope somebody will share some BTS about the film.

Carrie Coon plays Meg Greenfield, a quick-witted Washington Post editorial writer.

    I’m living for this

“[Meg Greenfield] became influential in a male-dominated world and a close confidante of Post publisher Katharine Graham.” With such a big cast, I’m not sure how prominent Coon’s role will be on an emotional/dramatic aspect and she may just exist to be someone that Katharine Graham can talk to about her frustrations of being in the ” male-dominated world” but I’m assuming that she will get to share the screen many times with Queen Meryl which is still a win.

With this casting revealed, I’m assuming that Sarah Paulson is going to be playing Sally Quinn, Ben Bradlee’s wife (girlfriend at the time). Bradlee and Quinn were 20 years apart and Hanks and Paulson are 18 years apart. I’m hoping this is a good part, I’d really like to see Sarah Paulson nominated for an Oscar (and Carrie Coon, for that matter)

As a fan of Silicon Valley and Better Call Saul, I wanna know who Zach Woods and Bob Odenkirk are playing. I hope somebody will get an info about that.

What do people think about this film’s chances at SAG ensemble? We do know that Hanks and Streep will be at full power here, but will the supporting cast be able to match them here to land an SAG ensemble award?

That’s a good thought. Well. I think it’s very likely that the film will earn a SAG nomination for ensemble (it’s too early to say for win). I mean they have like the best actors in Hollywood on both film and TV.

    No denying that.

I’ve rad the script and Ben Bradlee’s partner in the film is his former wife, Antoinette Pinchot (goes by “Tony” in the script). I’m not sure which year the two divorced, but he married Sally Quinn in 1978. Guessing that Sarah Paulson plays Tony.
