If The Grand Budapest Hotel won anything major like Best Picture, Best Director, or Best Original Screenplay.
Eddie RedmayneFebruary 22, 2015 at 12:51 pm #180521
If “borehood”, ahem “boyhood” wins Picture, Director or especially Screenplay, I may have to jump out a window. UghFebruary 22, 2015 at 12:52 pm #180522
The Imitation Game winning Adapted Screenplay. The “safest” screenplay in years that does no justice to the life of Turing. He deserves betterFebruary 22, 2015 at 1:06 pm #180523
Turing does deserve better, but I can’t stir up much passion for any of the other contenders either, except for Inherent Vice which doesn’t have a chance. Even Whiplash, the 2nd most deserving, is a) not that deserving and b) in the wrong category. I’m basically indifferent so I’m rooting for Imitation Game to win so I get my prediction right. Lol.
Nothing would displease me more than Theory of Everything winning Best Score.February 22, 2015 at 1:17 pm #180524

- The Imitation Game winning Adapted Screenplay over Whiplash.
- Boyhood winning Best Editing over Birdman or Whiplash.
- Bradley Cooper winning for this movie.
- Boyhood winning Best Picture over the likes of Birdman and Whiplash.
“Boyhood” winning Best Picture, Best Director would just be painful. PAINFUL i tell you. I’m in the minority here, but “Ida” winning Foreign Language would be my least favorite win of the night. All buzz, acclaim and not enough oompf. If the Black & White is captivating people, “White Ribbon” and “Nebraska” had more going on.February 22, 2015 at 1:37 pm #180527
American Sniper for anything.February 22, 2015 at 1:39 pm #180528

Eddie RedmayneFebruary 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm #180530
If Eddie Redmayne wins over Michael Keaton I will most likely start to “hate” him. I can’t stand most of my friends talking about his film like it’s some masterpiece. An example of a crappy movie elevated by its lead performances.February 22, 2015 at 2:08 pm #180531

Bradley Cooper winning Best Actor.
Birdman sweeping and winning all the majors it has a shot: picture, director, actor, screenplay. What is by the way exactly as I think it will end.
