Wow I was very impressed by the trailer. Redmayne looks great. I hope he will get some buzz. This is a biopic, he’s playing one of the greatest scientists of all time, and it’s being released by Focus in November. If he gets the critics and small groups’s attention, he might have a shot at Best Actor.

    So. much. actressing.

I’m guessing this is Focus’s big award push, and Eddie Redmayne might become one of those “out of nowhere” contenders, seeing how baity the role is.

I am not a fan of Eddie Redmayne (I really didn’t like him in Les Miserables), but he actually looks amazing here. He embodies Hawking perfectly, and I am very impressed.

You know, I’m going to sound like a bit of a dreamer here, but I hope David Thewlis can also get nominated. He looks like he has a meaty part here and could possibly be nominated.

So for now, its a duel between Timothy Spall and Eddie Redmayne for a spot in my Best Actor predictions.

It’s nice for Redmayne, who has been quietly turning out great work and usually in some kind of codpiece.

I’m left wondering just how far they’ll “go” doing a biopic of this man. In any event, Redmayne deserves what I hope are (more) accolades for his perf.

I hope so. Hawking has some powerful, loud critics who wont shut up. He’s been accused of horrible things, such as violence against women. So far, “they” have no evidence, but it’s there just the same.

Either people dont know who he is or they dont. But it’ll be interesting to see just how the film is received from all quarters.

Looks like a cheap version of A beautiful mind.

Best Actor is too CROWDED for Redmayne to make some noise there.

Best Actor is insane this year. Phoenix, Keaton, Carell, Spall, O’Connell, McConaughey, Boseman, Cumberbatch, Fiennes and now Redmayne? Jesus Christ. The trailer looks terrific but it’s not something I would see.

I’m a bit skeptical about its chances, too. For some reason, I’m wondering if the film will be overshadowed by The Imitation Game, given how both deal with important members of the scientific field and the latter is being sponsored by Weinstein and taking place during the prime period piece that is WWII.

The film seems really promising, though. Looking forward to it.

Looks promising, and inoffensive. Hopefully Redmayne gets some deserved buzz.

I can see this landing Redmayne a Best Actor nod and Jones a supporting actress nod.
