Next to Toy Story 2 and Inside Out, Wall-E is probably the best Pixar film has ever made .
The Dark Knight is the 6th best Batman film, completely slow and uneventful and severely overrated.
Bette Davis won her Oscars for the completly wrong performances. Her best performances are (IMO) Hush… Hush, Sweet Charlotte; Now, Voyager; Of Human Bondage; All About Eve; The Man Who Came to Diner and The Virgin Queen.
God’s Own Country is miles and leaps better Call Me By Your Name.
Angela Bassett was ROBBED of her OscarFebruary 8, 2018 at 12:41 pm #1202490182
What is it about Meryl Streep that causes her to get nominated so frequently?February 8, 2018 at 12:53 pm #1202490186
Angela Bassett sure was robbed of that Oscar. Much as I respect Holly Hunter, I’d actually rank her last in that gangbusters line-up.

I use to say Holly Hunter, but Bassett’s performance was UNTOUCHABLE.February 9, 2018 at 9:11 am #1202490762
I don’t think Debra Winger was anywhere near as remarkable as Holly or Angela…February 9, 2018 at 7:44 pm #1202491056
I also thought Angela Bassett should have won the Oscar for What’s Love Got To Do With It.February 9, 2018 at 8:01 pm #1202491060
Dunkirk is an impressive technical achievement but, beside that, it was a fine film and nothing more.
How is this an unpopular opinion ?
Even I, a Nolan’s fan, have to agree that Dunkirk was propably his second least impressive film (the worst one was Interstellar) But you have to admire the technical aspects and the fantastic direction of Nolan in this movie. Mediocre movie, but was incredibly well directed.February 9, 2018 at 8:04 pm #1202491061
Interstellar was completely garbage. Inception should have won Screenplay and got a Director-nomination in 2011.
Apart from the direction and score, The Social Network was extremely mediocre, just like Dunkirk.February 9, 2018 at 8:07 pm #1202491063
Attack of the Clones is the worst Star Wars movie.
How is this opinion unpopular?
Because most people know Phantom Menace is clearly the worst one by far, due to having the most Jar Jar Binks, the unnecessary introduction of “midiclorians,” and way too much shit going on in too many different locations (4) in that climax. Even when George Lucas first saw the film he admitted “I think I may have gone to far in a few places.” Ya think?! Darth Maul had no personality and I think he is overrated and boring.
Attack of the Clones had atrocious romantic dialogue and awful CGI (even for 2002 in my opinion) but was a bit redeemed by Christopher Lee kicking ass as Count Dooku and less Jar Jar.February 9, 2018 at 9:26 pm #1202491078
Interstellar was fantastic and McConaughey was nomination worthy.February 9, 2018 at 9:35 pm #1202491083
Lady Bird is overratedFebruary 10, 2018 at 12:35 am #1202491111
I think many people here in Goldderby seem to mix up iconic/great films with great performances. There are many performances that are considered incredible, but that’s only due to the film’s status. Examples would be Jodie Foster (Silence of the Lambs), Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty), and Louise Fletcher (Cuckoo’s Nest).

The only good thing in Silence of the Lambs was Anthony Hopkins’s performance. Other than that the film was dull, boring and mediocre. The book was 1000x better
