Honey, Regina Hall is SOOOOOOOOOOOO underrated. It’s a damn shame!

Honestly Regina Hall would have been a better nominee for Girls Trip than Streep for The Post.

I much preferred Hall to Haddish in Girls Trip.

THE OSCAR 100 (#60-56): Brenda Blethyn, Olivia de Havilland, Dorothy Malone, Geraldine Page and Thelma Ritter

Recently rewatched Batman vs Superman and it’s not as bad as I thought it was at first.

Had Emily Blunt been nominated for the Devil Wears Prada, she also probably would have been nominated for both Sicario and The Girl on the Train, and would have an “overdue” narrative comparable to Amy Adams and Michelle Williams (though Adams is still probably stronger).

Personally, although she still doesn’t have a nomination (which is absolutely preposterous) I find Blunt to be just as in need of an Oscar as many of the most respected contemporary Oscar-less actresses, such as Adams, Williams, Chastain, and Ronan. I really hope she can win in the next five years or so.

Zendaya is overrated as an actress. Is this an unpopular opinion?

Speaking of Regina Hall, I coincidentally watched highlights of her Scary Movie part. And wow, I didn’t remember her at all. And what a performance. Trash me but I’d nominate her for an Oscar, lol. And we were raving about Haddish who literally played herself in Girls Trip.

Given that half of Meryl Streep’s like 21st Century performances have been actual impersonations, she really is Razzie-worthy at them, giving Saturday Night Live level performances.

Michelle Williams is better than Adams and Blunt.

Nicole Kidman is terrible at accents. Made Rabbit Hole become a comedy thanks to her accent going in and out every 3 words

Alicia Vikander was indeed supporting in The Danish Girl and she deserved her win 100%.

Mad Men is the most overrated show of the past few years. Breaking Bad comes a distant second.

    Wrong thread.

Allison Janney winning her overdue Oscar was more important than securing Metcalf a win for her one shot deal.

I’m don’t really know if you can call Janney overdue for an Oscar. Her film career really hasn’t been that stellar. (even she said she never dreamed of getting an Oscar because film just didn’t seem to offer her the kind of roles TV does.)

Her credits include Oscar winners: American Beauty, The Hours, Juno, and The Help.
