    Shimmer Lake was a waste of time.

    Kong Shit Island will and should be nominated for nothing at the Oscars.

    On a technical scope it was very fun to look at. I would full support nominations for FX, Sound, cinematography, etc. No major nominations butit would be sad if it got no tech noms.

    As for my opinion on their picks, I like most, but really variety? They think Betty Gabriel should win? They didn’t even put Allison Williams in honorable mention. Don’t get me wrong, she is great in the “no no no no no no” scene, but thats all she has. Does anybody actuallt think she was better than WIlliams? I didn’t even think of Gabriel as a contender for a nomination before that. Now that I think about it she wouldn’t be terrible though. I could actually see her being this years Mahershala Ali now that I think about it.

    I agree with Kong: Skull Island for cinematography. It’s a great mixture of monsters and Vietnam War. It really reminded me of Apocalypse Now most of the time when I was watching it.

    It’s really funny to see people fail to read the “contenders from January to June” part. How difficult is it?

    @alex Meyer

    I’m glad someone here was able to see how brilliant James Gray’s work on “Z” was. I wish you had listed Terence Davies for Best Director too, given how you liked the movie enough for Picture and Actress nods.
