We are starting to line up live webchats with some of this year’s Oscar/Globe/SAG contenders.

    Up first will be…

Julie Delpy & Richard Linklater (“Before Midnight”)

YES!!! Goldderby got a live interview with Julie Delpy and Richard Linklater!

I’ll be sure not to miss that one.

I’m really looking forward to this. It’d be nice if you managed to get some high profile people like you did for the Emmys, so then Sandra Bullock, for instance, may actually get some intelligent questions. It is beyond painful to listen to the same, generic and often stupid questions on television. Meryl Streep would be a dream. I think the only recent interview with her that actually revealed something was….Andy Cohen.

P.S. (for my earlier post) Get Ethan Hawke for Before Midnight. Dude likes to talk big time, and takes his career choices very seriously. He will have tons to say.

We have made lots and lots of requests. Hopefully quite a few of them will actually come through for us. Film people seem to be more reluctant to do webchats than TV people. We interviewed over 150 TV contenders in the spring and summer.

Let’s just keep the questions interesting. GD has done some really in depth, interesting and often hilarious interviews in recent years. General guideline: keep away from more than one or two “What was it like to…” type questions

Will you be interviewing Delpy as an actress contender too or basically just for the screenplay?

    This thread deserves a bump.

Julie Delpy and Richard Linklater (star and 2/3 of the writing team of “Before Midnight”) live on the GD home page Tuesday October 22, 2:30 p.m. PT
