Since people are worrying about category fraud this year, I thought it would be an appropriate time to ask:
In what cases do you think that a performance had the votes to make a category’s T5, but was disqualified either because:
    A) It already had enough votes to get a nomination in another category (i.e. leading vs. supporting), and Barry Fitzgerald-ing isn’t allowed?
    B) The performer already had enough votes for another movie in the same category. And they don’t do body of work noms now like Greta Garbo for Anna Christie/Romance.

The most obvious example for both in recent history would be Kate Winslet 08:
    A) The Reader in Supporting – Globe and Sag wins
    B) Revolutionary Road in Lead – Globe win, Sag + Bafta noms

    But what others?

Leonardo Dicaprio for The Departed. Also, there a really stupid Oscar rule that a performer can’t be nominated twice in the same category for ENTIRELY DIFFERENT performances. >:(
